  1. Aug 05, 2013 I have the Asrock H77M motherboard and even without the DSDT file it works wonderfully, although it is highly recommended to get USB3 working, and to get the App Store working properly. It is by far the easiest build I ever did. I built this PC with OS X in mind My hardware: Asrock H77M Motherboard (DSDT can be found on this website) Intel Core.
  2. Install Mac OS X on VirtualBox. Now, everything is ready for installation of Mac OS X on VirtualBox. Run VirtualBox then click on the “Start” button at the top. Right after tapping on start button then some code will be loaded. Don’t worry about those.

I bought a new Asus P5G41T-M LX motherboard. I tried to install Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3, but it doesn’t work. My PC restarts. I’ve tried to use -v -f -x or cpus=1 command, but still the same, it just displays the Apple logo.
I have tried to use iBoot and EFI, still the same.

Please give me some advice. T.T

There are no Guest Additions for any OS X guest, so you have basic VESA graphics only. If you have any further questions then post a VM log file: with the VM fully shut down, right click and 'Show Log' in the GUI, save 'VBox.log' (ONLY) to a zip, and attach the zip here. In VirtualBox, open Devices Network Network Settings Advanced Port Forwarding and specify Host IP = 127.0.0.1, Host Port 2222, Guest IP 10.0.2.15, Guest Port 22 On the Host OS, run the following command sftp -P 2222 user@127.0.0.1; if you prefer a graphical interface, you can use FileZilla. The Guest Additions for anything ≥10.14 need to be notarized in order to be allowed to install the kexts. Currently they're not. It doesn't have anything to do with the read-only filesystem in 10.15. And BTW, you have a 10.14 guest, that doesn't even come into play. Oracle VM VirtualBox 3.2 added experimental support for Mac OS X guests, with restrictions. See Section 3.1.1, “Mac OS X Guests” and Known Limitations. Guest Additions are not available. Mount the ISO in OS/2 as described previously. The OS/2 Guest Additions are located in the directory OS2. We do not provide an automatic installer at this time. See the readme.txt file in the CD-ROM directory, which describes how to install the OS/2 Guest Additions manually. Virtualbox 5 guest additions for os x guest.

  3. I've had similar problems before. The problem is that you are using the 10.6.3 disk, and you want to get the 10.6 disk. Unfortunately, there is no way (that I know of) to use the 10.6.3 disk. I'm not saying you should, but if you really want to, you could get a pirated version of the 10.6 disk, and use that. If that's not your thing, then you should look for a 10.6 disk somewhere online, because they won't have them in Apple stores.
Or maybe you got a disk that comes packaged with a mac computer. Those don't work. I also know that from my own experience. You have to get an actual Snow Leopard retail disk ($30). Or once again, if you really want to, you could get a pirated version of the 10.6 retail disk.
And just because you use the 10.6 disk doesn't mean that you can't later upgrade to 10.6.3 after it's installed. That should work no problem. It's the actual disk that has the problem, not the OS X version.
And I should point out that just because I mentioned it, it doesn't mean that getting a pirated disk is the best choice. If you go that way, you risk getting harmful files, the chance of breaking your computer (because of harmful files), possibly not even getting the OS X version you wanted (or even not getting OS X at all). And there's the most obvious problem, which is that it isn't the most legal choice either. The chances of it happening aren't too high, but it is definitely possible to get an OS X look-a-like, destroying your computer with lots of harmful files, AND getting in legal trouble for that. So it's not the best way to go, but it is possible if you really want to risk that.
